The hills will provide plenty of juice for leg workouts if you decide to make walking or biking a part of your regular commute or exercise routine.
Hyde street and Polk street both offer a mix of shopping and dining opportunities for denizens of the district.
The area is also home to the prestigious San Francisco Art Institute, a world-renowned school for art that is also home to several Diego Rivera murals.
