The Castro district is a world-renowned neighborhood that played an integral part in the modern gay rights movement.
While the San Francisco multiple listing service refers to the neighborhood as "Eureka Valley", the world knows and loves it (or hates it) as The Castro, the heart of gay life in San Francisco.
